Chapter 16: It Was Ridiculous. He Barged into Her House!

The early morning sun was shining on the green plants on the window sills. Under the bright sunlight, the dewdrops that condensed over the night looked like pearls as they slid down the veins of the leaves.

In the warm and cozy bed of a bedroom, a woman clad in a pure cotton nightgown was lying down quietly with her eyes closed. She did not have make up on but she looked elegant and beautiful, in harmony with the sunshine outside the windows. Her long black tresses lay on the bed, covering half of her pretty face that was as fair as snow.

Her beauty was not outrageous but impossible to ignore.

Li Beijue gestured for the other people to leave while he stood at the end of the bed and looked perplexedly at the woman sleeping on it.

Suddenly, he lifted the blanket on the bed roughly.

“Mmm?”

Chi Enen suddenly felt cold. She instinctively opened her eyes and the amplified face of a handsome man came into view.

Putting aside this man’s atrocious temper, his face was truly very good-looking. It was the type that could fully invade a woman’s heart and had the sexiness of fatal attraction!

However, whoever saw such a handsome man in her own bedroom early in the morning when she woke up would feel terrified and not amazed!

“Li Beijue!”

In the next second, Chi Enen jolted up.

“Why are you here?”

How did he come in?

Did he break-in?

Impossible!

If he barged in forcefully, she could not possibly have remained unaware of the big commotion.

Chi Enen’s mind was in a whirl. She instinctively frowned and covered herself with the blanket and tried to calm down. “Young Master Jue is looking for me this early. Is there anything wrong?”

The man was observing her wary actions. His dark and deep eyes squinted. His huge hands clamped her chin mercilessly as he bent down and close in on her.

“Chi Enen, what’s with the pretense?”

What was she pretending about?

Li Beijue looked at her pure and innocent expression. Her big and clear eyes stared at him. There was a strong, surging reaction in his body. He retracted his hand and sneered, as if he was annoyed at himself for reacting in such a way. “You must have woken up long before I came in, right? It’s just that you discovered that I was the one who entered. So, you pretended to be asleep to seduce me.”

Chi Enen opened her big eyes as if she was looking at a freaking ghost.

Her? Seduce him?

Ridiculous!

She suppressed her sullenness and explained to him patiently, “I didn’t. I was exhausted yesterday and slept like a log. I just woke up.”

Li Beijue refused to listen. He questioned her directly, “Exhausted? I remember that your boyfriend sent you home yesterday. Why? Did you pester your boyfriend until late at night yesterday? That’s why you’re tired?”

He could be as sarcastic as he wished!

Chi Enen endured his abuse and gave a fake smile. “This does not have anything to do with Young Master Jue.”

“I am asking you if that is the case?”

He was domineering and completely could not take any rejection!

Chi Enen’s chin was hurting. He must have bruised it. One had to bow to the circumstances. She could not afford to provoke this man. She had no choice but to go along with him.

After preparing herself mentally, she lifted her head and stared into the man’s eyes, saying calmly, “Yes.”

Li Beijue stared at her with a deep and profound gaze. After a few seconds, he suddenly hurled her away and then closed in on her again. “Chi Enen, I don’t believe that any true words will come from the mouth of a woman like you.”

Yesterday, he had gotten someone to keep a watch on her. Clearly, the one who sent her home was a woman!

Yet, she dared to tell him that it was her boyfriend in such a resolute and firm manner! In her eyes, was he that easy to lie to?

“What are you doing? Go away!” A man barged into her house early in the morning and was even bearing down on her. Any woman would know how dangerous this was. She pushed the man away desperately. “Li Beijue, believe it or not, I will sue you! You’re assaulting me!”
