“Sister Chi, here’s the medication that you requested.” The nurse from the Gynecology department was quietly sizing her up.

“Okay, thank you.” Chi Enen feigned ignorance and put away the ointment in her bag calmly. This brand of ointment was specifically for application on the vaginal area. It was uncertain what was said on the other side of the phone but her frown deepened. “Yes, I’m back in the country. I’m at the hospital in the city now. We can talk again when you are here. I’ll wait for you at the back door.”

Chi Enen headed to the back door of the hospital.

She saw a woman standing at the door when she arrived.

The woman was in her early forties. She had on thick makeup that did not match the current times and the age of her face. It was already early spring but she was still wearing mink. She was holding an out-of-fashion branded bag in her hands, giving out a strong materialistic feel!

At this moment, she was pacing to and fro at the back door, looking vexed and annoyed, and cursing from time to time.

“Why hasn’t that wretched girl come yet?”

“How long does she want me to wait?”

She was impatient with the waiting and had just wanted to retrieve her cell phone to make another urgent call.
