Chapter 327 – 327 That’s Right, You’ve Been Sold! Enjoy the Ride!

Stephen Strange was blown away by Wanda’s overwhelming power and blurted out,

“Miss Kagura! I want to learn magic!”

Kagura smiled in satisfaction. “Oh? You want to learn? Sure, I’ll teach you!”

“You… know magic too?”

“Nope, not really.” She waved her hand casually.

“I haven’t really studied what you’d call ‘magic,’ but I do know a master of dimensional sorcery. She’s incredible—learning from her will change your life! So, interested?”

“Dimensional… sorcery master?”

Stephen stared at her, clearly intrigued. “I figured if anyone was going to teach me magic, it’d be either you… or maybe, uh, Miss Wanda?”

Wanda shot Stephen a sharp glare again. She clearly didn’t think much of him.

“Wanda’s chaos magic comes from a unique supernatural power inside her. That’s not something you can just learn.”

Kagura shrugged. “But don’t worry! The sorcery my friend practices? Totally teachable. Guaranteed results!”

“You’re not trying to trick me with some sleight-of-hand parlor tricks, are you?”

Stephen narrowed his eyes. “I want to learn real supernatural powers—not stage magic.”

“Relax, Doctor Strange.” Kagura gave him a mysterious smile. “I promise, the dimensional sorcery is the real deal. You won’t regret it.”

“Alright then! Sounds like a plan!”

Stephen Strange had clearly been talked into it.

To be honest, even Kagura was a little surprised at how easily he was convinced.

She always thought Stephen Strange was the skeptical type—the kind of guy who’d doubt even if the Ancient One herself showed up and performed miracles in front of him.

Maybe in this world, his hands hadn’t been irreparably damaged in that infamous car crash.

That might explain why his mindset was more open, more curious, more willing to embrace the unknown.

But hey—

That’s a good thing! A great thing!

“Alright then! Go pack your bags—we leave tomorrow!”

Kagura responded cheerfully. “The destination’s a bit far, so Rhodes Island Industries is sending a private jet to pick us up first thing in the morning.”

“No problem! Though I do have one more question.”

Stephen looked at her seriously. “Why me? Why tell me about all this magic stuff? Do I have some special destiny? Am I the ‘chosen one’ or something?”

“Heh heh… Magic isn’t something you can explain too clearly,” Kagura said with a sly grin. “All I can say is—this was fate!”

Her vague, mystical act only made Stephen take her more seriously. “Fate, huh? Interesting. So my destiny starts to change today?”

“Exactly! Doctor Strange, congratulations on making the right choice. The timeline has already begun to shift!”

Kagura nodded sagely. “From here on out, your future’s going to be one hell of a ride.”

“Alright, got it. So… where are we going tomorrow?”

“Nepal. Kamar-Taj.”

————————————————————————

The next day – Somewhere in Nepal

“You didn’t just trick me from the very beginning, did you, Miss Kagura?”

On a crowded street, Stephen Strange was panting as he climbed an endless staircase behind Kagura.

“You said we were going to meet some legendary master sorcerer, but all we’ve seen are rundown little towns! This place looks more like rural India than some mystical sanctuary!”

Kagura, unfazed, replied, “You just don’t get it. Ever heard the saying, ‘The greatest hermits live among the people’?”

“The master you’re about to meet is exactly that—someone who lives quietly in plain sight, detached from the world, content in their solitude.”

“Sounds nice. But if they turn out to be some street performer doing coin tricks, I’m billing you for wasting my time.” Stephen sighed and kept climbing.

“So, how much farther do we have to go?”

“No idea!” Kagura answered with absolute confidence.

“…Huh? You don’t know?!”

Stephen was stunned. “Wait, are you telling me that for the past five hours, you’ve just been wandering aimlessly?! What are you even doing, Kagura?!”

“Hey now, don’t get all worked up!”

She turned and patted him on the shoulder.

“When it comes to masters of dimensional sorcery, if they don’t want

to be found, you won’t find them. All we can do is wander the city and wait for her to come to us.”

“You serious?” Stephen looked skeptical.

“You’re not secretly planning to sell me off in some remote corner of the world, right? I mean, I’m not that valuable.”

“Sure, I’ve got decent stamina, but we surgeons aren’t exactly built for manual labor, you know?”

“Pfft… Where is your imagination going?” Kagura rolled her eyes. “Anyway, just be patient. Everything will fall into place.”

‘Creeeak—’

Just then, a nearby door creaked open.

A figure dressed in a simple robe stepped out and looked directly at them.

“You must be Stephen Strange. Come with me.”

“…Huh?!” Before Strange could even react, the man grabbed him by the arm.

“W-Wait a second! Who are you?!”

A bad feeling surged through Strange’s gut.

‘Don’t tell me… Kagura actually sold me out?!’

“This is Kamar-Taj,” the man said calmly, dragging Strange along as if it were the most normal thing in the world.

“The place you and Miss Kagura were looking for. I’m Mordo. I’m here to take you to the Ancient One.”

“I don’t know what she sees in someone like you, honestly,” Mordo continued, completely unfazed by Strange’s panic, “but she’s been expecting you for quite a while. So let’s not keep her waiting.”

“Aaand that’s a wrap!” Kagura clapped her hands together and let out a long sigh of relief as she watched Strange get whisked away.

“Honestly, you were right, Doctor Strange. I did sell you off,” she said with a mischievous smirk.

“Now go and enjoy the path to becoming the Sorcerer Supreme!”
