Everything needed to be perfect at this masquerade banquet for Beniogre.

It was the first time she was hosting such an event and influential figures from all across the universe were attending the event.

To make the event more fun, it was designed to be a masquerade where the masks were designed in a way that one would be unable to discern each other’s facial features.

The only thing that they could discern clearly in one another would be the shape of each other’s bodies, one’s grace and elegance as they walked and the sound of one’s voice.

It was a grand event with ample scope of flirting around without getting caught and there was a lot of buzz about it within noble circles a few days before the event.

At the day of the event, there was no introduction of who walked into the room, or what designation they held as it was left entirely up to the discretion of the attendees on whether or not they wished to reveal their true identities or pose as someone else.

This way, none of the attendees had to engage in awkward conversations that they did not wish to be a part of and did not need to compulsorily socialise with people that they did not wish to associate with just because of their stature.

The ‘ anonymity ‘ trope of the event gave individuals the leisure to truly enjoy the evening rather than being afraid of how their behaviour would reflect on themselves.

Nonetheless, everyone first confirmed as to whether or not the supreme lord was attending the event as regardless of the masqued nature of the event, no-one wanted to risk offending Rudra.

If somehow they accidentally played a joke on the supreme lord and the next day their entire race was wiped off the universe, they would have no one to blame for the massacre but their own foolishness.

Hence, it was important to first confirm Rudra’s presence at the event to which Beniogre assured everyone that while he had been invited, he would not be attending.

Naturally, because she was a vixen by nature she led everyone to believe that the reason he was not attending had to do with the previous ‘ Awkward ‘ encounter he had with Beniogre not too long ago.

While everyone else did not have the means to discern the individuals behind the mask, as the hostess Beniogre had devised a careful system of knowing who was who.

She had custom made the mask for each attendee and while the others could never know who was wearing which mask, she precisely knew who was behind each mask.

There was a small risk of attendees exchanging masks or several attendees from the same family accidentally sharing masks amongst each other, but it was a bet that Beniogre was willing to take as the probability of such an event occuring was quite low.

She had used all her political clout for this event as it took centuries of good-will assimilated by helping other monarch’s and important people to get them all under one roof for a casual party.

While it was disguised as a ‘ Fun ‘ event, the truth of the matter was that Beniogre needed all the support she could get to fight against Dracula and this party was her best shot at securing it.

Without the seed of life she was no longer the miracle healer that she once was, however, the centuries of goodwork that she had done was still a card she had not played and the time seemed ripe for her to call in on all the favours that she had collected.

While the favours collected could only help her temporarily deal with her current predicament, if she could seduce Max Rajput she could reverse her decline and attach herself to a winning horse.

Not only was Max Rudra’s brother which meant that he could help get the seed of life back, but he could also become the next supreme lord which would alleviate Beniogre’s status to the moon.

She had tried and failed in seducing Rudra who had coldly robbed her after knocking her out, however, she felt confident in her ability to seduce Max since it was rumoured that he had a thing for busty women.

Hazriel’s heart was beating wildly at the prospect of meeting Max again at the masquerade party hosted by Beniogre.

She had arrived early at the party and felt her heart palpitate whenever a new guest walked into the room as she felt amazed by the mystery of how even her senses as a monarch were unable to see through these special masks as it was impossible to discern one’s facial features under it.

She could easily place the head of Emperor Cervantez over the body of Augustus Won Knight as in terms of build and aura they had the same energy.

However, even while doing so she could not be sure if she assumed correctly in the first place? As it could be someone else entirely.

With the names of the attendees not being announced, she had no idea of who was walking into the room or when would Max arrive, however, she was eagerly waiting for this re-union as she felt like if she could discern Max in this crowd of anonymous people, there would be no doubt in her heart about how much she truly loved him.

Little did she know that Mira, Rhea and Beniogre had the exact same thoughts as her and were eyeing the same man with different intentions.

Mira just wanted to use this opportunity to get lovey-dovey and flirty with Max.

While Rhea felt her heart palpitate at the opportunity of posing as Mira once again and experiencing the true heaven that she did not long ago.
