Chocolate Town.
The streets bustled with people of all races and countless animated foods and items strolling about as if they were normal citizens. In most places, such a sight would be astonishing, but here it was ordinary.
In this nation created by the Four Emperors’ member Big Mom, officially Charlotte Linlin, animated pastries, foods, and household objects walked and talked freely, each with unique personalities and lives. These beings, known as Homies, were brought to life through Big Mom’s Soul‑Soul Fruit powers, granting them sentience and human‑like abilities.
“Wow! They’re here! The Golden Minister is here!”
Cheering erupted across Chocolate Town as a golden‑orange vehicle slowly rolled through the streets, welcomed by an excited crowd of residents from every race.
“Long live the Golden Minister! You’re the most beautiful!”
“Golden Minister, you are my god!”
The golden car, with big expressive eyes, navigated carefully through the throng of enthusiastic residents shouting and pushing forward.
“Move aside, move aside, don’t block this beautiful car! Go back, go back!” the car murmured impatiently, yet the crowd only cheered louder.
“Golden Minister, shower us with golden snow!”
“Long live the Golden Minister!”
“We would die for you!”
Inside the car, the owner sighed softly, sounding both amused and overwhelmed.
“Sigh, I am so popular everywhere I go,” the voice said, faintly.
Suddenly, delicate flakes began to drift from the clear sky. At first glance they looked like snow, but soon the crowd realized they were golden sheets of foil, shimmering as they fluttered down over Chocolate Town.
“It’s raining golden snow! It’s raining golden snow!”
“Thank you, Golden Minister!”
The townspeople laughed and cheered wildly, holding out hats, scarves, and shirts to catch the shiny flakes with joy.
Using the chaos to its advantage, the golden‑orange car slipped away, heading toward its destination: the Caramel Cafe.
Nearby on the street:
“Shirogai, look! Golden snowflakes in the sky!” Luffy, clad in a new outfit with a scarf wrapped around his head like a Long‑Leg Tribe member, leapt into the air, arms wide as he tried to catch the shining flakes.
“Alright, don’t fight them over it,” Shirogai said with amusement. His white hair was partially hidden by his white scarf, and two small fake mustaches had been comically pasted to his face. He watched Luffy tumble with the local children, all scrambling for golden snowflakes, and laughed.
“Haven’t you wondered who we’re searching for? With all this golden foil falling from the sky, do you know who it might point to?”
“Huh? Golden snow… ah…” Luffy froze at Shirogai’s clue, scratching his head in thought. Before he could say more, the clever children swarmed him, snatching away all the beauties he had managed to catch.
“Ah! I know! It’s Nami!” Luffy shouted suddenly, ignoring the golden snow in his arms.
“Hehe, where is Nami? I miss her so much! I want to see her right now!”
Inside the Caramel Cafe, a bell chimed as the door opened gently.
“Ding‑a‑ling, ding‑a‑ling…”
A woman in a golden mask walked in gracefully, dressed in luxurious golden attire that made her look like an elegant goddess stepping out of a painting. The moment after entering, she sneezed loudly.
“Achoo! Achoo!”
She quickly removed the mask and frowned.
“Wow, chocolate smells great, but too much of it makes me sneeze!”
She wrinkled her nose cutely, rubbing it with her finger and pouting as she addressed the brown‑haired girl in a pink dress kneading chocolate cake batter at a table.
“Oh, Linlin,” she complained teasingly, “the scent here is too strong. It’s making me sneeze!”
Linlin’s assistant flinched as her piping work slipped, causing the frosting on the cake to smear slightly.
“It’s your fault for barging in! This chocolate cake was almost perfect!” she grumbled, glaring playfully at the golden‑dressed girl.
“Your punishment,” the assistant declared while holding out the imperfect chocolate cake, “is to eat it all! Don’t leave even a crumb!”
“Ah! No way! If I eat all this I’ll get fat!” the golden lady protested while stepping up to the counter. She giggled as she dabbed a bit of chocolate into her mouth, savoring the sweetness.
“It’s so good! If Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were here, they would devour this whole place in minutes!”
This woman was Nami, the Cat Burglar and navigator of the Straw Hat Pirates. However, time had refined her appearance and demeanor. She now carried an air of regal poise and elegance, and with her golden dress she resembled a queen among mortals.
“Here we go again, Nami,” said Charlotte Pudding, the 35th daughter of Big Mom, rolling her eyes. “You always say that when you come here. You haven’t complained about my chocolate shop in ages.”
Pudding’s cheeks reddened as she asked shyly, “Speaking of which, what about God‑King Shirogai? Does he like chocolate?”
Nami pursed her lips and replied bluntly, “No, he doesn’t. In fact, Shirogai hates chocolate. And by the way, he hates you, too.”
“Hate!? God‑King could never hate me!” Pudding protested, as she set delicate teacups on the table. She then poured sweet chocolate black tea and offered it to Nami with a dreamy expression.
“If my future partner had God Shirogai’s unparalleled charisma, that would be amazing,” she whispered. “Then I could leave the Charlotte Family and travel the world with him!”
Nami sipped the fragrant tea and smiled. “You can go if you want. At worst, I’ll help you talk to Linlin about it.”
“Oh…” Pudding’s face fell as she whispered timidly, “But Mama will never let me go. She needs me to help interpret the poneglyphs…”
